Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Auto Lineage, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, our Content Policy, and any additional terms presented in connection with specific features or services. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use the platform.

If you use Auto Lineage on behalf of a company, organization, event, club, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

Platform Purpose

Auto Lineage is a vehicle-first platform for documenting and preserving vehicle history through vehicle records, Lineage entries, Collections, events, registrations, and related features. The platform is designed to help connect the evolving stories of culturally significant vehicles across owners, events, milestones, and time.

User Accounts

Some features require creating an account. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, maintaining the security of your credentials, and for activity conducted through your account.

You must not impersonate another person or entity, access another person's account without permission, or use the platform in a fraudulent or misleading manner.

Vehicles and Lineage

Vehicle records and Lineage entries may include identification details, ownership history, appearances, events, awards, modifications, restorations, media, references, and other documented moments connected to a vehicle.

Auto Lineage does not independently verify every submission and does not guarantee that every vehicle record or Lineage entry is complete, current, authentic, or error-free. Users should evaluate source information and references when relying on historical records.

Auto Lineage is not a title, registration, lien, accident, safety, mechanical-condition, appraisal, or ownership-verification service. Information on the platform should not be used as a substitute for official records, professional inspections, or other appropriate due diligence when buying, selling, insuring, registering, or valuing a vehicle.

User Content

Users may submit vehicle information, Lineage entries, images, videos, documents, references, comments, and other content. You retain any ownership rights you have in content you submit.

By submitting content to Auto Lineage, you grant Auto Lineage a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and make reasonable technical modifications to that content as necessary to operate, improve, promote, and market the platform. This includes use on Auto Lineage websites, social media accounts, email communications, promotional materials, and paid advertising.

You represent that you own the content you submit or have all permissions and rights necessary to submit it and grant Auto Lineage the license described above.

Users are responsible for the content they submit and for ensuring that submitted information is accurate to the best of their knowledge.

References and Third-Party Sources

Auto Lineage may allow users to include links or references to external websites, social media posts, auction listings, publications, event pages, and other third-party sources. References are provided for context and documentation and do not imply endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation, or verification by Auto Lineage.

Third-party websites and services are governed by their own terms, policies, and availability. Auto Lineage is not responsible for external content, changes to external content, broken links, or the practices of third-party services.

Vehicle Management

The platform may allow eligible users to manage specific vehicles within Auto Lineage. Managing a vehicle does not constitute legal ownership of the vehicle and does not establish title, registration, possession, or any other legal interest in the vehicle.

Auto Lineage may review, approve, reject, transfer, or revoke vehicle management access when reasonably necessary to protect vehicle records or platform integrity.

Collections

Auto Lineage may allow eligible users to create and publish Collections of vehicles. Collection creators are responsible for the accuracy, organization, and appropriateness of the content they include. Inclusion of a vehicle in a Collection does not establish ownership, endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation.

Events and Organizers

Auto Lineage provides tools for organizers to create, publish, promote, and manage automotive events, registrations, communications, operations, sponsors, judging, awards, and related activities.

Unless Auto Lineage expressly states otherwise, the applicable organizer is solely responsible for its event, including event operations, venue arrangements, safety, eligibility requirements, admission decisions, communications, cancellations, postponements, event-specific policies, refunds, awards, and disputes involving participants or attendees.

Auto Lineage is generally a technology platform and is not the organizer, operator, venue, promoter, sponsor, sanctioning body, or insurer of an event merely because the event is listed or managed through the platform.

Participation in automotive events may involve risks, including risks associated with vehicles, driving, motorsports, crowds, venues, weather, and other event activities. Participants and attendees are responsible for evaluating and accepting the risks associated with an event.

Event Registration, Payments, and Organizer Payouts

Auto Lineage may facilitate free or paid vehicle registrations and other event-related transactions. Payment processing and organizer payouts may be provided through third-party payment providers and are subject to applicable payment-provider requirements.

Fees shown during registration or checkout may include platform, processing, registration, or other applicable charges. Event-specific refund eligibility and disputes may be determined by the applicable organizer, the policies disclosed for the event, payment-provider rules, and applicable law.

Auto Lineage may delay, withhold, reverse, or adjust payments or payouts when reasonably necessary to address refunds, disputes, chargebacks, suspected fraud, payment-provider requirements, legal obligations, or violations of platform policies.

Subscriptions and Paid Features

Auto Lineage may offer free and paid plans with different features, limits, and benefits. Current offerings and pricing are described on the platform and may change over time.

Monthly and annual subscriptions may renew automatically until canceled. By purchasing a recurring subscription, you authorize Auto Lineage and its payment providers to charge the applicable subscription fees and taxes to your selected payment method at each renewal.

You may cancel a recurring subscription using the account or billing tools made available by Auto Lineage. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not retroactively reverse charges already incurred, except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise.

Auto Lineage Shop

Auto Lineage may link to merchandise and other products offered through shop.autolineage.com, a storefront powered by Fourthwall. The Auto Lineage Shop has separate terms, privacy disclosures, return policies, and other policies presented on the shop or during checkout.

Under the current Fourthwall arrangement, Fourthwall is the seller and Merchant of Record for applicable products sold through the Auto Lineage Shop and is responsible for payment processing, applicable sales-tax collection and remittance, sourcing, shipping, returns, and refunds as described in the applicable shop terms. Auto Lineage may receive proceeds or royalties from products sold through the shop.

Purchases through the Auto Lineage Shop are governed by the policies applicable to that storefront and are separate from subscriptions, event registrations, and other transactions conducted directly through the main Auto Lineage platform.

Auto Lineage Intellectual Property

Auto Lineage and its licensors retain all rights in the platform, software, design, branding, logos, trademarks, interfaces, original editorial content, and other materials provided by Auto Lineage, excluding user content and third-party materials.

Except as permitted by law or expressly authorized by Auto Lineage, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, interfere with, or commercially exploit protected portions of the platform.

Acceptable Use

Users may not submit or use the platform to distribute unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, threatening, defamatory, deceptive, infringing, malicious, or intentionally misleading content.

You may not interfere with platform security or operation, introduce malicious code, scrape or access the platform through unauthorized automated means, attempt to obtain unauthorized access to accounts or systems, or use Auto Lineage in a manner that materially disrupts the service or other users.

Copyright and Intellectual Property Concerns

If you believe content on Auto Lineage infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please contact hello@autolineage.com with identification of the content, the work you believe is being infringed, your contact information, and enough information for us to evaluate the request.

Auto Lineage may remove or restrict access to disputed content while reviewing a complaint and may suspend or terminate accounts associated with repeated or serious infringement.

Moderation, Suspension, and Termination

Auto Lineage may review, hide, remove, restrict, or preserve content and may limit, suspend, or terminate accounts or access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, comply with law, respond to disputes, protect users, protect vehicle records, address fraud or abuse, or maintain platform integrity.

You may stop using Auto Lineage at any time. Certain records or content may remain available where reasonably necessary to preserve vehicle history, maintain transaction or event records, comply with law, resolve disputes, or exercise legitimate platform rights.

Third-Party Services

Auto Lineage relies on third-party providers for services such as hosting, authentication, storage, communications, analytics, payments, fulfillment, and other infrastructure. Your use of certain features may also be subject to applicable third-party terms and policies.

Auto Lineage is not responsible for outages, changes, acts, omissions, or failures of independent third-party services beyond our reasonable control.

Platform Availability and Changes

Auto Lineage may add, modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue features or portions of the platform at any time. While we strive to provide a reliable service, uninterrupted or error-free availability cannot be guaranteed.

Disclaimers

Auto Lineage is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the platform, user content, vehicle records, event information, references, or third-party services will be complete, accurate, uninterrupted, secure, or suitable for every purpose.

Auto Lineage does not provide legal, financial, insurance, appraisal, mechanical, safety, title, registration, or professional automotive advice through vehicle records or user-submitted content.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Auto Lineage LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, loss of vehicle value, or similar losses arising from or relating to use of the platform.

This includes claims arising from user content, vehicle records, event participation, organizer conduct, cancellations, payment disputes, third-party services, external references, unauthorized access, or reliance on information available through Auto Lineage.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Auto Lineage LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your content, your misuse of the platform, your violation of these Terms or applicable law, your infringement of another person's rights, or, if you are an organizer, your event or event-related activities.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

General Terms

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Failure by Auto Lineage to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.

These Terms, together with policies and additional terms expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement governing your use of the Auto Lineage platform. Auto Lineage may assign its rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.

Changes to These Terms

Auto Lineage may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the "Last updated" date when changes are made. Continued use of the platform after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
