Lineage

This well-preserved 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS is factory-equipped with a 396-cubic-inch big-block V8 and retains a working console-mounted 8-track tape player, a distinctive period feature that adds to its originality and historic character.

Presented as an exceptionally original Z28 with approximately 15,000 miles, preserved documents and books, and its original battery kept in storage. The owner reports five first-place finishes in the Original Class at the Super Chevy Show.

According to the owner’s display, he bought this Nova SS new after leaving the Army in 1969 and has kept it ever since. It ran 12.51 at 110 mph at Lions Dragstrip, was returned to a stock-looking configuration in 1997, and received a 383 stroker in 2023.

Built for serious straight-line performance with a stock long block, transmission and stall converter, a Roush 2.3L supercharger running on E85, basic suspension upgrades and 3.31 gears. A displayed time slip documents a 9.602-second quarter-mile pass at 146.50 mph.
